You have been nominated to your father Sunil Dutt's seat. How does it feel?
I'm thankful to the Congress party for considering me capable enough to represent this seat. I now have to work hard to prove myself and be true to my father's legacy.

On the plus side, I have worked alongside my father for long and I know this constituency very well.
What are the issues closest to your heart?
Right now, I am looking at infrastructure development in the area. Especially after the recent Mumbai rains, it is important that the blame-game is not repeated.

Which amongst your father's projects are you planning to take forward?
My father was working very hard for youth development. For this, I am planning to open counselling centres and develop sports complexes in my area.
What part will your brother play in your political plans?
I think I will need his support 100 per cent. After my father, Sanjay has been a pillar of strength for everybody in the family.
How do you plan to balance your social work with mainstream politics?
Till now, I was working on the grassroot level but now, I have a chance to take it ahead on a far larger scale.
